The senior boys Croxford Cavaliers will not go into the Christmas break winless after coming out on top last night (December 20).

At home against the Chestermere Lakers, the Cavs were only one point away from triple digits. Croxford trounced Chestermere by 40, winning 99-59.

Head coach Jade Chausse was pleased with what she saw from her team, especially on the defense.

"I was really happy with our defense and fast-breaking. Something I would like for us to work on in the New Year is keeping up our defensive intensity."

Point guard Jon Wamana played a critical role in the win, both driving to the basket and also facilitating offensive options for other players.

The Cavs now sit at 1-2 for the season.

The junior Cavs have the same record after losing to the Lakers last night 86-52.

The teams will get back to work in the new year, starting 2018 on the road against the Bow Valley Bobcats.
