Three Calgary residents have been charged with over 20 offences in relation to a stolen vehicle investigation that led police to a shopping centre near Airdrie. Police also seized a .22 sawed-off semi-automatic rifle as well as narcotics.

According to Calgary Police, earlier this week, on Tuesday, at approximately 3:40 p.m., members of the Calgary Police Service Auto Theft Team located a stolen Honda Civic driving around the parking lot of CrossIron Mills in Rocky View County.

"Investigators observed two occupants get out of the stolen Honda Civic and attempt to steal a vehicle that was parked in the mall parking lot but were unsuccessful," police stated in a release.

The occupants then attempted to steal a licence plate from another vehicle that was also parked in the parking lot, however, investigators intervened.  

As a result, CPS along with members of the Airdrie Rural RCMP arrested four individuals in relation to the incident. Other items that were seized included ammunition as well as bear spray.

26-year-old Colin Johannis Davidson-Tschritter, one of the individuals arrested appeared in court today. He has been charged with:

  • Theft of a motor vehicle
  • Driving while prohibited
  • Driving without insurance
  • Possession of methamphetamine
  • Possession of break-in tools
  • Possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes; as well as two counts of failure to comply with a probation order and two counts of failure to comply with a release order.

19-year-old Page Elizabeth Ashlee has been charged with:

  • Carrying a concealed weapon
  • Careless storage of a firearm
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Unauthorized transportation of a firearm in a motor vehicle
  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon
  • Possession of a firearm without a licence
  • Possession of stolen property over $5,000.

Ashlee was also charged with three counts of possession of government documents in another person’s name, three counts of possession of drugs, and two counts of failure to comply with a release order. 

She is set to appear in court early next week. 

45-year-old Gerald Marshall has been charged with one count of possession of stolen property over $5,000. He too will appear in court early next week.

The fourth individual was released without charges.
