After a tough shutout loss last Saturday (December 2nd), the Airdrie CFR Bisons needed a big performance in their next game against the Maple Leaf Athletic Club Beverley Optimists.

The Bisons scored early, with Caleb Wilms notching the first goal less than two minutes into the game.

After a goal from Mark Zachary made it 2-0 just a few minutes later, the Optimists got one back on the power play to make it 2-1 by the end of the first period.

That's as close as the Maple Leaf Athletic Club would get as the Bisons scored 3 times in the second and 5 times in the third period to clinch a 10-4 victory.

Luke Jensen had two goals including the game winner in the second period. Mark Zachary and Brett LaGrandeur also had two goals in the game while Jacob Catchcart netted 3 assists.

In their two meetings so far this season, the Bisons have outscored the Optimists, 16-5. The Maple Leaf Club sit last in the AMHL with just 1 win and have suffered 15 straight regulation losses.

The Bisons will look to continue that offensive dominance when they host the Grand Peace Ernie Sports Storm on December 9th at 7pm.
