The Calgary Flames rookies managed to pull out a victory last night in their third game in the Pentiction Young Stars Tournament.

Sven Bartschi led the Jr Flames with two goals as the knocked off the Edmonton Oilers rookies 4-3. Dustin Sylvester and Lance Bouma picked up the other two goals for the Flames.

The next step for some of the players is a trip to the Flames training camp, for others its a trip back to juniors, or a spot on the AHL's Abostford Heat.

The big squad gets their first taste of pre-season play with a home and home split squad night against the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday.
