Alberta Mounties are looking to identify a homicide victim after the man's remains were found in a stolen truck at Bow Valley Provincial Park last November.

"Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit (MCU) are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the male," police stated.

According to Mounties, the remains were found on November 3, 2023, after Cochrane RCMP responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle which was located at Widowmaker Trail Head, located in Bow Valley Provincial Park.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the human remains inside the vehicle. The remains were located inside a white 1998 Dodge Ram, bearing Alberta licence plate CNF1057.

An autopsy was conducted days later, which confirmed the remains belonged to a man, and the manner of death was deemed a homicide.

"This truck was stolen from the Dalhousie neighbourhood in Northwest Calgary in the early morning hours of October 24, 2023."
