Have you ever wanted to strut your stuff on the catwalk? Are you Airdrie's Next Top Model?

Marks is hosting three upcoming fashion shows and looking for Airdrie residents to participate as runway models. All ages are welcome - males and females. You must be an Airdrie resident but no experience is needed. Guys must be at least 5’8” and there is no height restriction for females.

Special Events Ambassador, Damien Tiloshanec says they've used models from surrounding centres like Calgary in past fashion shows but they wanted to make these ones local in an effort to support the Airdrie community.

The first fashion show will take place at the Airdrie Home & Lifestyle Show at Genesis Place, on April 28, in support of the Airdrie Chamber of Commerce to promote local businesses. On May 10, Marks will be hosting another fashion show to raise money for breast cancer research. The third show will be on June 14 and will raise money for Jumpstart – an organization helping underprivileged children play sports.

“I’m really looking for people with passion, community spirit and great personalities,” said Tiloshanec. “It’s all about promoting the community and local charities within the community.”

He said it may also provide job opportunities for inexperienced models. Participants will be modelling clothing from Marks and there will be free seminars and workshops on how to walk the stage prior to the shows.

Tiloshanec talked about how potential models can get involved in the fashion show next Saturday at Genesis Place.
