Update:

Airdrie RCMP have identified the driver in the October 18 reported hit-and-run.

The driver had reported the incident to Airdrie RCMP separate from the victim resulting in two different investigations being undertaken.

The RCMP would like to thank the public and media for their support in this investigation and apologize to the driver and community for any confusion this may have caused.

Airdrie RCMP seek the public's assistance in identifying the vehicle involved in a hit and run.

On October 18,  at 8:50 a.m., a female pedestrian was crossing East Lake Boulevard at East Lake Crescent. The pedestrian was in the crosswalk when a 2008-2012 black Jeep Liberty turned on East Lake Boulevard from East Lake Crescent N.E. striking the pedestrian. 

The driver did not stop, leaving southbound on East Lake Boulevard.

Witnesses report the driver of the vehicle was an adult female who had a female passenger.

The pedestrian was treated on scene and sustained minor physical injuries.
