It was another great season for Airdrie hockey player Jordan McConnell, and he was again recognized for this outstanding efforts.

The former Airdrie Xtreme was named Top Defensive Forward for the Calgary Canucks at their Awards Ceremony on March 3rd.

This is the second year in a row that McConnell has received the award in his second full season with the team. 

McConnell scored 18 goals and added 15 assists in his best season in the Alberta Junior Hockey League.

The Canucks are now gearing up for the first round of the playoffs as they face the Drumheller Dragons. Game One of their series goes Thursday night (March 8th) in Drumheller.
