Winds Station fire crews arrived to find an SUV parked on the front driveway of a home on fire. The fire spread to the attached front garage of the home.

"The Ladder truck from Chinook was able to quickly deploy a hose line and extinguish the fire. Crews remained on the scene to extinguish hot spots in the garage."

During this fire, the Crossfield Fire Department, support for all Airdrie structure fires, was sent to a separate medical call in Airdrie.

Airdrie's Fire Department responded with two Engines and a Ladder truck, while the Crossfield Fire Department attended with an Engine.

The cause of the fire is under investigation and a damage estimate was not available at the time of response.

Earlier on Tuesday, December 27, fire crews had also responded to a garage fire in the city, which has since been deemed suspicious.
