The Airdrie FC U16 Tier 3 Girls came home from Provincials in Edmonton on August 13 with silver medals around their necks.

The team advanced to the gold medal game after two wins and one tie in the tournament's round robin. In game one on August 11, the girls found an easy win against WHU Phoenix, dispatching them 3-1. The next day, they found themselves evenly matched against Storm (Kehoe), tying 1-1. Later on Saturday (August 12), Airdrie FC went head to head with MW Selects FC, winning the 1-0 match off a goal by Annmarie Burley.

In the gold medal game, Airdrie FC faced St. Albert Impact. The gold medal just fell through Airdrie's grasp as they lost 3-2 in the final game. Madison Tyson and Jenna Leost both found the back of the net with goals for Airdrie as they brought home the silver medal.
