The Airdrie Ag Society has called off a popular event regularly held during the summer.
The society posted on Twitter that they've made the decision to cancel the Ranch Hand Competition which had been scheduled for next Saturday, July 24th.
The post said the event was cancelled by economic factors and the lower than expected number of competitors that had registered for the competition.
It is with regret that we have had to take the decision to cancel the Ag Society's Ranch Hand Competition scheduled for July 24. Economic factors and the lower than expected number of competitors conspired to jeopardize the viability of the event. Sorry for any inconvenience pic.twitter.com/fbsvt1aXnC
