We're still 2 months away from the first Ultimate Fighting Championship to hit Calgary, and already the card is shaping up to be a big show. The UFC announced on Thursday that Heavyweights Cheick Kongo and Antonio Rodrigo "Big Nog" Nogueria will be on the event.

Kongo has a record of 27-7-2 in his professional career, while "Big Nog" has a 33-7-1 record. Both are coming off losses, and are looking to get back in the win column sooner rather than later.

Those two names will join an already stacked card with Thiago "Pitbull" Alves taking on Yoshihiro Akiyama, and featherweight champion Jose Aldo will defend his title against an opponent to be named at a later date.

Calgarian Nick "The Promise" Ring will take on fellow Ultimate Fighter Season 11 cast mate Court McGee. Both fighters squared off during the show, with Ring picking up the decision. They were to fight again in the show's quarter-finals, but Ring had to pull out due to an ACL injury, thus ending his chance at winning the tournament. McGee would go on to beat Kris McCray in the finals to be named Season 11's Ultimate Fighter.

It's also expected that Ring could do some of his training at a gym in Airdrie, but dates have yet to be anounced.

Reports are also suggesting that Light Heavyweight Champion John "Bones" Jones could face UFC legend Dan "Hendo" Henderson as the main event on the card. Jones just fought in UFC 144, on April 21, taking on former champion, and training partner Rashad Evans. It's unknown when the official announcement will be made, if this is to be on Calgary's card.

Also on the card will be Mitch Gagnon against Bryan Caraway in bantamweight action, and lightweight matchup between Mitch Clarke and Anton Kuivanen.
