The Airdrie A's who were representing Alberta at the Canadian Senior Baseball Championships fell just short of capturing a bronze medal this morning (July 22).

The A's faced B.C. in the final and ended up losing by a 12 - 8 score as the B.C. champions take the bronze.

Airdrie ended up in the game following a 16 - 1 loss to the Edmonton Cubs in yesterday's semi-final.  Edmonton will face the Atlantic team in the gold medal game at 2:30 pm this afternoon.  Team Atlantic knocked off B.C. 5 - 4 to advance.

Airdrie won their first round robin game over the Prairies by a 24 - 0 count and downed Quebec 13 - 2 in their final game for their two wins of the tourney.  They finished with a 2 and 4 record and represented the City of Airdrie and the Provincie of Alberta proudly.
