Although the Pioneer Acres Annual Show and Reunion just took place on the weekend of August 5, 6 and 7, organizers are already looking ahead to next year.

Attendance at the Annual Show was low this year, which affects Pioneer Acres as it is used as the main source of funding for the season.

Diana Rowe, board liaison for the Annual Show, said the more attendance at the show, the more funds are raised.

"It's the one big fundraiser that we have every year that helps us to operate from year to year and that's how we operate."

Currently looking for ideas for next year, Rowe said they are thinking of doing an era theme.

"Next year, we are considering featuring the different eras that are visible at Pioneer Acres."

Pioneer Acres allows visitors a look at what life was like for the pioneers and have many different demonstrations, displays, and shows.

"We're hoping to encourage and attract more volunteers and people can become a member anytime during the year and come out and see what's going on," said Rowe.
