After years of serving on the Rocky View School Board, Chair and Trustee for Ward 5, Colleen Munro has announced she is ready to move on.

One of the board's most experienced trustees, Munro, has 10 years of history serving her third term as trustee and second as board chair.

Growing up in Springbank and living in the Westbrook area, Munro is passionate about representing the rural communities and providing a voice to the population.

Involved in both the Stockmen's Memorial Foundation and 4-H Club, Munro comes from a background of agriculture and communication holding a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, a Bachelor of Journalism (Hons.) and a Masters of Business Administration.

While nothing has been confirmed, Munro, states her name may become a topic of conversation again in the future.

"I am doing some exploring, I feel like things are pretty wide open, but I have told my school communities you may see my name on another ballot. It's developing, I have to do a little soul searching."
