Its starting to look a lot like a brown Christmas

.Airdrie has experienced exceptional above seasonal temperatures over the last week as a result of the chinook winds that have melted much of the snow.

According to Brian Proctor, Meteorologist with Environment Canada, we may experience a brown Christmas.

"typically the Airdrie areas have a 60% chance of a white Christmas or snow on the ground but this year that is not looking very likely at all."

Proctor says that we are not expecting any major precipitation in the new future.

"It does look like that cold arctic air is seeping back in but it doesn't look like its bringing any precipitation into Alberta."
