Airdrie City Council met on Monday, August 15 and looked at a few bylaws, correspondence, and presentations.

One of the decisions made at the meeting was that September will be declared Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. 
In honour of the declaration, city hall will be illuminated in gold lighting.

City Council also heard a presentation from Chris MacIsaac regarding some revisions that have been made to the GreenTRIP and Public Infrastructure Fund Project Lists, which the city supported.

The Boys and Girls Club of Airdrie also have a place to host their annual AIRscares event this Halloween; it will be take place at the decommissioned Main Street fire hall.

Calgary Airport Authority also attended the meeting, presenting their plans on how to reduce aircraft noise over the city, as well as demonstrating the flight paths of planes that do fly over Airdrie.
