Two players from Cochrane are hoping for big things from their respective teams as they begin the Western Hockey League finals tonight (April 21).

Tyler Wong and the Lethbridge Hurricanes are coming off a hard fought seven game series with the Medicine Hat Tigers as they travel to Regina to take on the Pats in game one of the Eastern Conference final.

Wong is having tremendous playoffs and is tied with Reid Gardiner of the Kelowna Rockets for the league lead in playoff scoring with 22 points each. Earlier this week, Wong was named the Eastern Conference Humanitarian of the Year winner.   

Calgary Flames draft pick Dillon Dube leads the Rockets against the Seattle Thunderbirds with the Western Conference series starting in the U.S. tonight.

Dube is also in the top ten in playoff scoring with 15 points on six goals and nine assists.  

Game two in both series go on Saturday, April 22.
