After being shipped around in the NHL last season, Airdrie's Ty Rattie is getting down to business in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Rattie and the Chicago Wolves begin their first round playoff run tomorrow night (April 20th) against the Charlotte Checkers.

The Airdrie skater had a harrowing 2016-2017 season that saw him move from the St. Louis Blues to the Carolina Hurricanes and back to the Blues in the span of just a couple months.

The Hockey Gods are definitely smiling at this first round match up as Rattie faces the Checkers, the affiliate team of his former club the Hurricanes.

In 22 games played this year with the Wolves, Rattie scored 2 goals and 5 assists. He also played in nine games between the Blues and Hurricanes netting 2 more assists.

Game 1 in the Wolves best of 5 series with Charlotte goes at 5pm on April 20th.
