One of Airdrie's fastest growing Martial Arts studios is still smiling after big performances at recent tournaments in Edmonton.

Dana Johnson, Head Instructor at Destiny Martial Arts, says both the Airdrie and Calgary locations cleaned up at the annual Dragon Challenge.

"We had 42 competitors...I believe there was 76 medals in total."

As impressive as the Challenge was, Johnson says it wasn't the only tournament Destiny succeeded at.

"We had another event a couple months ago that was in Edmonton as well. I think we brought something like 27 competitors to that and we brought back 31 medals."

Although the club typically slows down for the summer months, Johnson and the rest of the club are already looking ahead.

"We've got some new black belts...a few more up and coming black belts as well...everyone's loving life and enjoying the dream."
