Several Airdrie Football stars are taking their talents to Langley B.C. after singing with the Rams of the Canadian Junior Football League.

The Rams, who are celebrating their 50th season this summer made a number of big name signings last week including players who suited up for the George McDougall Mustangs.

Geoffrey Zanzerl joins former teammates Duncan Little and Enoch Angbony on the Rams this year, but the most impressive signing came from the Mustangs former All-Star running back.

Nearly two years ago, Airdrie's Jordan Baldwin reaggravated a shoulder injury while playing for Dordt College in Iowa. After seeing a medical team, Baldwin was told that he could never play contact sports again.

Fast forward to 2018, and Baldwin made huge strides in his recovery and defied the odds to make the Langley Rams roster as a full-time player.

The Rams will be coached by former Calgary Colts boss Matthew 'Snoop' Blokker, who hopes to lead the team to a better performance in 2018 after losing in the playoffs last year to the Westshore Rebels.

As fate would have it, the Rams open the 2018 season at home against the Westshore Rebels on August 4th.
