Airdrie’s Jake Vold turned in a huge performance on day one of the Canadian Finals Rodeo last night (October 30th).

The local Bareback rider scored an 85.25 on his first run to claim a cheque for over $10,000 and sit as the current leader in the bareback competition.

Clint Laye, Seth Hardwick, Ky Marshall and Pascal Isabelle round out the top 5 for Bareback riding after Day one.

Didsbury’s Morgan Grant currently sits 8th in Tie Down Roping with Carstairs cowboy Kyle Lucas right behind him in 7th place.

Day two of the Rodeo gets underway tonight in Red Deer.
