Airdrie bareback rider Jake Vold experienced highs and lows on Championship Sunday (July 16) at the Calgary Stampede.

Vold started off the final day of competition with a tremendous ride, scoring 91.5 on the back of Reckless Margie. Vold's ride was good enough to place him in first and guarantee him a spot in the Final Four later in the day, where he'd face Orin Larsen, Richie Champion and Mason Clement.

Vold's performance in the Final Four was not as stellar. He landed in fourth place after getting bucked off Shadow Warrior. Despite that, Vold's fourth place finish did land him a $10,000 cheque.
