There were a series of vehicular accidents over the past week in Airdrie on Veterans Boulevard. The RCMP clarified details on the most recent crash.
On Tuesday, September 21st there were reports of a car crash on Veterans Boulevard.

Though initial reports suggested a bus was involved, Cpl Gina Slaney of the RCMP clarified that no bus was involved in the accident.

"There was a two-vehicle collision (fender bender), just west of the tracks," Slaney wrote.

One driver was taken to the hospital as a precaution and it appears speed was a factor in the accident.

"It appears the second driver did not stop in time and rear-ended the car in the front."

No charges have been laid.

The other accident occurred during the weekend.

On Saturday, September 18th, a car was traveling eastbound on Veterans Boulevard and turned left to take Highway 2 northbound. The car was hit by a westbound vehicle, causing the car to flip onto its side. There were only minor injuries reported.

Slaney did say that all though the two crashes did happen on Veterans Boulevard, there is no uptick or pattern in car crashes in the area.
