'Universal Ninjas' is a family-friendly movie about a ninja named Skater who has to save Bravo City from the evil Mind Brain and his team of villains. The film is still in production and will be shot in several cities and towns including Airdrie, Cochrane, Canmore, Banff, and Calgary. We spoke with writer, producer and director Roshdi Alkadri about his connection to Airdrie & Cochrane.

Alkadri says there's a very positive message for kids in the film like the importance of friendship, loyalty, never giving up, and fighting only as a last resort.
