(Artwork by Michelle Pickering from the Beyond Heaven and Earth exhibit.)

Two local artists are currently exhibiting their work at the Airdrie Public Library.

Until March 5, "Between Heaven & Earth" features the paintings of Michelle Pickering. Pickering studied Art & Design at Red Deer College followed by Graphic Design at Grant McEwan University.

Pickering is inspired to find that place between heaven and earth; that slice of joy; that place inside that sets a person free. You can read more about her work at www.michellepickering.weebly.com.

In conjunction with the "Between Heaven & Earth" exhibit, local jewelry designer Alicia Laurin is exhibiting her latest work. Laurin has been making jewellery since 1999 and loves abstract and fun colours, textures and asymmetrical designs. She creates all one-of-a-kind pieces as unique as the person who wears them. For more information on Laurin, visit www.beadedbliss.webs.com

You can view the art at the Library during their regular open hours. There is no admission charge and everyone is welcome to come enjoy the exhibits. For more information, visit airdriepubliclibrary.ca/art-in-the-library.html
