Canmore RCMP are currently on scene at a pedestrian hit and run which resulted in a fatality. A 20-year-old female from Canmore was declared deceased at the scene. At this time, the east bound lane of Highway 1 is still being re-routed from the Information Center onto Bow Valley Trail.
Earlier on Sunday morning, RCMP advised that the eastbound lane of Highway 1 was re-routed from the Information Center onto Bow Valley Trail. This was to safely allow officers to conduct an investigation.
