The Airdrie Thunder play their final Heritage Junior Hockey League game of 2017 tonight (December 22) and it's a big one.
With a win over the Red Deer Vipers, the Thunder can take over first place once again in the HJHL Northern Division.
Currently, the Thunder trail the Vipers by a single point. Red Deer has a record of 18 - 4 and 1 for 37 points while the Thunder are 17 - 6 and 2 and have 36 points.
Tonight's game goes at the Ron Ebbesen Arena starting at 8:00 pm.
The Cochrane Generals and Mountainview Colts are also in action tonight. The Gens face the Flyers in High River while the Colts entertain the Stettler Lightning at 8:00 pm in the Didsbury Recreation Complex.
