The offense of the Airdrie Techmation Thunder picked a bad time to fall silent.

Last night (March 18), Airdrie was held without a goal for the second consecutive game and fell 2 - 0 to the Sylvan Lake Wranglers who take the North Division final in six games.  Sylvan Lake now faces the South Division champion Okotoks Carstar Bisons in a best-of-five series for the Heritage Junior Hockey League title.  No start date has been announced for that series.

The Wranglers didn't take long to connect on, what turned out to be, the game-winning goal in last night's game when Ryan Wyzykoski put one past Airdrie goaltender Austin White just one second short of the two-minute mark of the first period.

The Thunder pressed for the remaining 58 minutes of the game but couldn't beat Kaden Toussaint who stood tall in recording his second consecutive shutout in the Wrangler goal.  On Friday night Toussaint and the Wranglers blanked the Thunder 3 - 0.

Sylvan Lake would get an empty-net insurance goal from Hayden Motowylo with 19 seconds to play.

The Wranglers outshot the Thunder 34 - 25.
