The famous Alpaca Allen in Airdrie has a brand-new friend.

Allen the alpaca was adopted by Carly Ingeveld and Morgan Cooper after being put up for sale by a friend. Allen is a 4-year-old alpaca born and raised in Alberta who now lives just outside of Airdrie.

He didn’t start off as the party animal he’s become until his first taste of birthday cake (lettuce) at a birthday party for the niece of one of his owners. From their Allen's party service took off

But now, what's better than to have not one, but two Alpacas show up to your birthday.

Allen’s owners Carly and Morgan are more than excited to get Allen a sibling.

“So, we decided that we better get him a little brother and his name is Ernie.”

Ernie is a year old; they don’t know too much about him just yet but they do know that he is super friendly and very curious.

Allen has some mixed feelings about Ernie so far.

“they're getting used to each other, but Alan is a little jealous.”

Ernie got his name by a recent naming contest that was held on their Facebook page, The winner was awarded a barn visit to go and see all the animals that Ernie and Allen live with like pigs, goats, sheep and chickens.

People can visit their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/allenthealpaca/about  to schedule half-hour or hour-long visits at the barn, or if you would like to try and book the two for a visit, that can also be done as well through their Facebook.

Since Ernie is still a party animal in training, The owners are looking to find people that will consider inviting Ernie and Allen over so Ernie can get used to being around people.
