Telus has announced that they will be investing $17 billion in network infrastructure, operations, and spectrum across Alberta in the next four years. In Canada, overall, Telus plans on investing $70 billion by 2026.  

“This generational $17 billion investment in Alberta is a true demonstration of TELUS’ long-standing commitment to improving the lives of Canadians by connecting communities from coast-to-coast with our world-leading wireless 5G and PureFibre networks,” says Darren Entwistle, President and CEO of TELUS.   

Across the $17 billion-dollar Albertan investment, Telus plans to do the following: 

  • Generate 8,500 new jobs for Albertans at TELUS. 

  • Connecting nearly 1 million homes in Alberta to PureFibre internet.  

  • Delivering 5G fixed wireless networks across the province.
