Airdrie's Jordan McConnell and the Calgary Canucks won't be tasting playoff victory anymore this season.

The Junior A team lost game 4 last night (March 21) to Okotoks, officially eliminating them from the playoffs.

The Oilers will now move to face the number 1 ranked Brooks Bandits in the AJHL South Final, a team the Canucks beat twice this season.

It was a tough road for McConnell and his Calgary teammates after a successful first round series with Drumheller, they hoped the momentum would improve. Instead, Okotoks' strong defense proved too much as the Oilers won their 4 games by a combined total of 13-2.

McConnell officially wraps up a successful first season in Calgary where he scored 36 points and was named the Canucks Defensive Forward of the year.
