Drew Tate improved to 2-0 as a starter as the Calgary Stampeders downed the Montreal Alouettes 32-27 on Sunday, October 30.

Johnny Forzani and Jon Cornish each scored a pair of touchdowns, helping the team move into a three-way tie for first place in the CFL West Division.

Tate knows how important the 60 minutes against the Alouettes was, but how much more the next 60 will be.

The Stampeders will need a little bit of help from some unlikely sources. They need to beat the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Saturday, November 5, and need the Alouettes to beat the B.C. Lions, and the Saskatchewan Roughriders to beat the Edmonton Eskimos.

That's the only scenerio that will allow the Stamps to claim first place and the bye into the West final because they have lost the season series to both rivals.
