Athletes are getting ready for another season of Special Olympics in Airdrie.

With the winter sports season fast approaching, participants will gear up for floor hockey and snow shoeing.

The Special Olympics members have had some time to prepare, following the busy summer season which included bowling, swimming, bocce, golf, soccer and softball.

Floor hockey will take place at Heron's Crossing School, while Snow Shoeing will be held behind Ecole Francophone D'Airdrie.

Things will get underway with a fall kickoff on September 8th and 13th at Cam Clark Ford.
