At approximately 9:40 on Tuesday morning, Calgary Police stated that all lanes of southbound Stoney Trail, between Airport Trail and McKnight Boulevard Northeast, had re-opened.

Earlier this morning, Calgary police were on the scene with a collision reconstruction team on southbound Stoney Trail following a serious injury collision that occurred. The incident has prompted authorities to close the road between McKnight Boulevard Northeast and Airport Trail Northeast.

Motorists were advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes. Southbound traffic was being detoured to Country Hills Boulevard Northeast to navigate around the closure.
