The Junior Ladies Rockyview Silvertips were close, but couldn't pull off another win against the Okotoks Raiders.

The Silvertips were on the road to face the Raiders in the Murray Arena last night (June 14) for the two teams' second meeting of the year. In the end, the Raiders got a one point home win, beating the Silvertips 10-9.

The 'Tips built up a 5 - 1 lead after the first period before taking their foot off the gas pedal which ended up costing them.  The Raiders scored seven unanswered second period goals.  The Silvertips came back strong in the third but fell just short in their comeback.

Cassidy O'Neill, Taylor McElroy and Rylynn Hills each scored twice for the 'Tips.

The two teams previously faced each other on June 2, with the Silvertips taking that game 12-11.

The Silvertips will now regroup and turn their attention to Sunday's (June 18) home game against the Calgary Axemen.  The game starts at noon at Airdrie's Plainsman Arena.
