The two undefeated teams in the Rocky View High School Football League will meet this Friday (October 14th) in a showdown to determine first place in the league.

The W.H. Croxford Cavaliers of Airdrie and the perennial powerhouse Cochrane Cobras both enter the game, scheduled for 4:00 pm at the Spray Lakes Field in Cochrane, with records of 5 - 0 in league play.  The Cavaliers got to that mark this past Friday when they defeated their fellow Airdrie team, the Bert Church Chargers by a 35 - 7 count.

When the week six high school rankings were released yesterday by Football Alberta, W.H. Croxford was still number two in the Tier II rankings for schools with a population of between 750 and 1,249 students.  Cochrane, which had been the number one ranked Tier III team for most of the season, made the decision to join the Tier I rankings for much larger schools.  They are now ranked ninth in the tier.

In other RVS games over the weekend, the George MacDougall Mustangs improved to 3 - 2 in the standings by virtue of their 38 - 0 win over Chestermere.

The Bow Valley Bobcats picked up their first victory of the season by downing the winless Springbank Phoenix 28 - 6.

This Friday, the final day of regular season action in the Rocky View league, the Mustangs and Chargers will square off at 4:00 pm on Ed Eggerer Field in Airdrie.
