There were some smiling faces from many players from SC Elite Basketball after the Grads Tournament last weekend.

Jamie Newman with the program says they represented well.

"It's kinda the last tournament of the year that our SC Elite club heads to. We had five teams up there this past weekend: Our U13 Boys and Girls teams, our U15 Boys and Girls teams and our U17 Boys team."

Of the 5 teams that went to Edmonton, the U17 and U13 boys came away tournament winners.

For the U13 team, it was their third tournament win in a row, a great way to cap off the season for the club.

Of course, Newman says the experience for all the teams was tremendous.

"This is the way that we end our club season...It's like 16 basketball courts and it's just non stop for four days of basketball competition."

Now that the season's done, many of the players will get ready to suit up for their high school teams, carrying their experience from SC Elite with them.

"SC Elite started three years ago for the fact that we could give kids an opportunity that live outside the city and surrounding areas a place to call home," says Newman, "we've grown every single year, we have U11 all the way up to U17 boys and girls competing in and around Alberta and Western Canada."
