One of Community Links' biggest fundraisers is at the Plainsmen Arena Thursday.

The 10th annual Roll to the Hole event is officially getting underway at 3:00 pm with the big Ball Drop at 6:00 pm.

Residents purchased tickets for a golf ball which then gets put into a concrete truck. With over 2,000 numbered golf balls, the closest ball to hole wins $2,500 while the second place ball takes home $1,000 and the third winning $500.

The event has already raised $10,000 this year, officially wrapping up Thursday evening after the Ball Drop.

Kari Whyte with Community Links says rain or shine, they're excited for another year of Roll to the Hole.

"We have a lot of Carnival games, we have a lot of Carnival food like popcorn, snow cones, that kind of stuff so everything will be inside except of course for the ball drop."

Laurie Jacob-Toews says Jesse Robbins will be playing live music from 3:00 till 6:00 with a variety of family friendly activities planned at the Plainsmen Arena.

Although sold out, Jacob-Toews says people can still have a chance to win prior to the Ball Drop.

"At the event people say I wish I could have bought my ticket, I forgot, and so we said this year we're going to have a 50/50 raffle so you have a second chance to win."

"50/50 tickets will be $1 each and you can got them from us at the park."

Community Links is just gearing up for its busy fall season with Supplies for Success also launching this week and Toews says it's just the beginning.

"Lots of fall programming coming up, lots of new groups and workshops and things that we've got registration open right now."
