The City of Airdrie is inviting one and all to ring in 2023 with a dazzling display of fireworks to be hosted on Saturday, December 31 at 6:30 p.m. at East Lake Park

"Join your friends and family to celebrate New Year's Eve and enjoy the show. This free event is hosted by the City of Airdrie and is open to all," The City of Airdrie stated.

The city is also reminding residents that some areas around East Lake will be closed to accommodate the fireworks show and that Ed Eggerer Athletic Park will be closed to the public.

And if you are heading out for the light show, it's important to remember to dress for the weather and that there will be no access to the fireworks zone starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 31.

Washrooms are available from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. behind Genesis Place (outside building access). Residents are also reminded to not walk on the pond ice as it is not deemed safe.
