A two-vehicle collision between a sedan and a truck created a vehicle fire that snarled traffic near Crossfield on the QEII headed Northbound on Thursday afternoon.

According to the RCMP, minor injuries were sustained, though police were not able to specify who sustained the injuries. The vehicle that caught fire was the sedan, but it has since been cleared.
Emergency crews were on the scene and there was a detour in place. The southbound lanes were open, though motorists should still expect residual delays in the area.
