One of the busiest routes just outside of Airdrie will see plenty of congestion today.

According to 511 Alberta, from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m., Highway 566 will see paving on a certain section of the highway causing some delays.

The paving operation will be taking place in both directions from the roundabout (Range Road 11) to the train tracks near the Balzac Overpass. One lane will be shut down at a time.

You will be able to expect delays and speed reduction in the area so make sure you plan ahead if you are taking the route.

Also in early July, and until the end of August, there will be a temporary lane closure on Erin Drive to accommodate deep utility rehabilitation.
