A UK-based company has been doing something kind of cool when you pass on, it's not cheap though. The basic service costs around $4,000, which gets you 30 copies of a vinyl record, all of which contain your ashes and play a song. That's right, they take your ashes and press it into a record for your loved ones! I think a pretty cool keepsake instead of that urn on a shelf somewhere. However, you cannot use copyright-protected music. But you can put anything else: a voice recording, or the sounds of nature, or complete silence. Also for an extra fee, you can hire musicians to record a track or tracks for you.

If you could pick a song for your final ash record what would it be? If this service was available in Airdrie would you do it?
