Parents of fourth, seventh, and tenth-grade students in Airdrie can share their views on school division education through a survey.

The Alberta Education Assurance (AEA) survey collects input regarding the quality of education offered by school authorities and their schools. This information is utilized by schools and authorities to assess their performance and make informed plans for the future.

Packages were sent to parents and or guardians which included a letter containing a Random Access Code (RAC) and a QR code for accessing the survey online and instructions for accessing the survey in other languages.

Teachers and students completed the survey online at school. Consistent questions are posed in the survey each year to assess the performance of schools over time.

Calculated results at the provincial, school authority, and school levels are returned to facilitate planning and reporting for schools and school authorities.

If you received the random access code, click HERE to take the survey. Submissions close on March 1, and all responses are anonymous.

At the beginning of the month, the open houses for "Balancing Airdrie Student Spaces" concluded for RVS. Airdrie residents are still able to share their thoughts on what they think about the scenarios by survey, which is open until March 17.

Superintendent of Schools for RVS, Greg Luterbach explained how he thought the open houses went.

"We had about 475 people attend in person. I think most people understand the challenges that we're facing across the city of Airdrie. Most people saw some parts they liked in the different scenarios."

Luterbach finished off by saying it was great to see so many Airdronians interested in what's happening with local schools.
