Training for local BMXers is no longer a half year thing, thanks to the Olds Megadome.

"Well the dream is alive! I am very happy to say that the indoor track at the Olds Megadome is complete."

That was the message posted on the Alberta Indoor BMX Center's Facebook page by Dale Tuchscher of the Alberta Bicycle Association.

Thanks to a donation from the Airdrie BMX Club, all local riders can ride this season for free, providing you do have your Alberta Bicycle membership. A proof of payment is all you need, that and your own bike as they have none to loan.

Seven year-old Ethan McCagherty from the Airdrie BMX Club is "pumped to be able to ride in the winter".

The track will be open until April 1, Saturdays from 10:30 am -3 pm and Sundays from 11:30 am - 3:30 pm.

More details can be found at the Airdrie BMX and Alberta BMX websites.
