A local hockey club took a trip to the Okanagan and came home winners.

The Airdrie Old Buckers are a rec hockey team that has called the city home since 1975, and last weekend they won a big tournament in Kelowna.

The team captured the Lefty Wilson Championship in the Okanagan Cup after a big 5-3 win over Athabasca in the Championship game.

This year's tournament featured Airdrie and Athabasca, along with two teams from the Kelowna area.
