Airdrie's loss is Cochrane's gain! Muriel Clayton assistant principal, Brendan Trinca, will be taking over as principal at Glenbow Elementary in Cochrane in August.

Trinca has worked in Rocky View Schools since 2000, serving as a teacher in Conrich, Indus, Langdon and Bearspaw before coming to Airdrie in 2007. He also has international experience, serving as an elementary teacher in Colombia and South Korea beginning in 1996.

Superintendent of Rocky View Schools, Greg Bass made the announcement on April 10. “Brendan has a wealth of experience building a community of learners in K-5 schools,” said Bass. “Under his leadership, I know Glenbow’s strong tradition of excellence in learning and citizenship, as well its progress towards embedding language literacy throughout the school, will continue.”

Trinca holds a Masters of Education in Adult, Community and Higher Education from the University of Calgary, a Bachelor of Arts from the Lakehead University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Western Ontario. He also has completed both of RVS’ Administrative Leadership Programs.
