Beginning today, Thursday, March 16 at 9 a.m., there will be a single right outside lane closure Northbound on the QEII.

The lane closure, approximately 1.4 kilometres South of Yankee Valley Boulevard, is expected to last till 3 p.m. on Thursday, as well as on Friday, March 17, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The closure is meant to accommodate the placement of concrete barriers along the highway.

The north and southbound Main Street overpass lane reduction is also expected to last till Friday, March 17. Lane reductions have been in place since March 2 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and are meant to accommodate the installation of formwork on the MSE walls.

Construction of the 40th Avenue Interchange to the QEII highway started in April 2021 and is slated to be completed by the end of October of this year.
