The Airdrie Midget AA Lightning were busy with back to back games this past weekend (November 24-25th).

The boys fell in their first game on Friday, 3-0 to the West Central Tigers in Sylvan Lake.

Despite the loss, goaltender Carson Goodram was outstanding, making 45 saves on 48 shots.

The team hoped for a better performance the next day and did just that at literally the last minute.

Logan MacDonald scored the winning goal with 1:12 remaining in the game and added an assist earlier, as the Lightning beat the Foothills Bisons 5-4.

Shane Manum, Logan Rutherford, Evan Renaud and Ricky Doucette also scored for the Lightning who sit 5th in the Northern Conference with 8 points.

The team will be off for just over a week and will next see action on December 6th against the CRAA Blues.
