As they enter the second half of their inaugural season, the Airdrie Brewers are finding their stride.

Following a successful double header against the Stettler Storm, the boys currently hold a 5-2 record.

"I'm thrilled with how the first season goes," said Dan Carefoot, Brewers President. "To be in a position where I think on any given night, we can beat any team in the league is a thrill."

So far, the season has been highlighted by a 13-2 win over the Red Deer Razorbacks, one of the best teams in the league.

With strong positional play and heavy hitting, the Brewers have managed to beat some of the best in the league, and generating a lot of buzz in the process.

"We've got depth in both pitching and catching," said Carefoot. "From my experience playing in men's leagues in the past, that's the area where teams tend to struggle a little bit."

Increased interest from the baseball community could see the Brewers welcome a second senior men's team.

While the season continues, the Brewers may take a trip to the championships in their first year as an organization.

The Airdrie Brewers will take on the Innisfail Indians at Chinook Winds on Wednesday, July 6th.
